The STIHL MSA 60 C-B Cordless Chainsaw

Weighing only 2.5 kg, without a battery, this versatile chainsaw comes with a 12-inch (30 cm) bar, 13.2 m/s chain speed, and narrow ¼-inch PM3 saw chain for high-precision cutting.

Also fitted with a potentiometer, for infinitely variable speed control, the MSA 60’s low vibration levels make it a very comfortable chainsaw to use.

The STIHL EC Engine

Compact and lightweight, the STIHL EC engine is highly efficient and easy to maintain. It has a very long service life and fully optimises the battery’s power.

And with a sound power level of just 91 dB(A), this cordless chainsaw is quiet when operating too.

Quick Chain Tensioning

STIHL’s Quick Chain Tensioning feature allows you to quickly tighten, loosen or replace the MSA 60’s chain, just by turning a wheel on the tool.

Simply turn it to the right to increase the saw chain’s tension and left to loosen it. Then, when you tighten the sprocket cover, the guide bar is automatically secured in place.

STIHL’s Quick Stop Super Chain Brake

STIHL’s unique Quick Stop Super Chain Brake function allows you to activate the chain brake using the chainsaw’s rear handle, regardless of your working position. This safety feature is particularly useful when you’re carrying out tasks that require frequently stopping the machine.

Should there be sufficiently strong kickback, if the front hand guard is operated, or when you release the rear handle, the chain is stopped in seconds.

Ergonomically Designed Handles

The STIHL MSA 60 is designed with a soft-grip rear control handle, including Ergo Lever. Not only is this soft material exceptionally comfortable to hold, but it also improves your grip on the chainsaw, particularly in wet conditions.

As the MSA 60 CB includes an ergonomically designed front handle too, this encourages you to always adopt the correct 2-handed posture when operating the machine, making for a consistently safe and effective working practice.

The MSA 60 CB’s Oil Tank

This cordless chainsaw features a transparent oil tank, so you can monitor the oil level without removing the tank cap. When more oil is eventually needed, the cap can easily be removed, without using tools.

These thoughtful features mean you don’t need to waste unnecessary time checking or adding oil, leaving you free to press on with the task in hand.

Recommended Battery Type

Because this product is shell only, you will need to buy the battery and charger separately.

We advise choosing the STIHL AK 20 battery and AL 101 charger to use with this chainsaw. This battery has a working time of up to 40 minutes, when fully charged.
