The STIHL MSA 70 C-B Cordless Chainsaw

Weighing just 2.5 kg, without a battery, this impressive domestic chainsaw features a 12-inch (30 cm) bar, 14 m/s chain speed, and narrow ¼-inch PM3 saw chain for extremely high-precision cutting.

Also fitted with a potentiometer, so you can adjust the chainsaw’s speed, the MSA 70 CB’s low vibration levels make it an exceptionally comfortable chainsaw to use.

The STIHL Electric Motor

Compact and lightweight, the 0.9 kW (1.2 hp) STIHL electric motor is highly efficient and very easy to maintain. It has a long service life and fully utilises the battery’s power.

And with a sound power level of just 91 dB(A), this high-precision cordless chainsaw is quiet when operating too.

Quick Chain Tensioning

STIHL’s Quick Chain Tensioning function allows you to quickly tighten, loosen or replace the MSA 70’s chain, simply by turning a wheel on the side of the tool.

If you turn the wheel to the right then you’ll increase the saw chain’s tension, and if you turn it to the left then you’ll loosen it. Once you tighten the sprocket cover, the guide bar is automatically secured into place.

Quick Stop Super Chain Brake

STIHL’s unique Quick Stop Super Chain Brake allows you to activate the chain brake using the chainsaw’s rear handle, regardless of your working position. This excellent safety feature is particularly useful when carrying out tasks that require you to frequently stop the machine.

Should there be sufficiently strong kickback, if the front hand guard is operated, or when you release the rear handle, the chain is stopped in seconds.

Ergonomically Designed Handles

This STIHL chainsaw is designed with a soft-grip rear control handle, including Ergo Lever. Not only is it exceptionally comfortable to hold, but it also improves your grip on the tool, especially in wet conditions.

As the MSA 70 CB features an ergonomically designed front handle too, this encourages you to always adopt the correct 2-handed posture when operating the machine, making for consistently safe and effective working practice.

The MSA 70 CB’s Oil Tank

This cordless chainsaw features a transparent oil tank, allowing you to monitor the oil level without removing the tank cap. When more oil is eventually required, the cap is simple to remove, without using tools.

This attention to detail means you don’t need to waste unnecessary time checking or adding oil, leaving you free to press on with your work.

Battery and Charger Included

This cordless chainsaw is supplied with a STIHL AK 30 battery and AL 101 charger. The battery has a working time of up to 45 minutes, when fully charged.
