FAQs

How do I choose the right mowing deck for my ride-on mower?

The correct mowing deck depends on your mower's make, model and, in some cases, its series. Each product page lists the compatible machines to help you identify the right deck. Always check compatibility before placing your order.

What cutting width should I choose?

A wider cutting deck covers more ground with each pass, making it well suited to larger open areas. Narrower decks can be easier to manoeuvre around trees, borders and other obstacles. The best choice depends on the size and layout of your lawn, as well as your mower's compatibility.

What is a Combi deck?

A Combi deck gives you the flexibility to choose between mulching and rear discharge on compatible ride-on mowers. Mulching finely chops grass clippings and returns them to the lawn as a natural source of nutrients, while rear discharge leaves the clippings behind the machine or directs them into a collector, depending on the mower. This makes rear discharge a better choice for longer or heavier grass.

Can I fit a mowing deck from another manufacturer?

Mowing decks are designed to fit specific ride-on mowers and are not universally compatible. Mounting points, drive systems and deck dimensions vary between manufacturers and models, so you should always choose a deck approved for your machine.

Why do so many mowing decks have anti-scalp wheels?

Anti-scalp wheels help the deck follow the contours of the ground more smoothly. By supporting the deck over uneven areas, they reduce the likelihood of the cutting edge digging into the turf, helping to produce a more even finish and minimise lawn damage.
