The STIHL MSA 70 C-B Cordless Chainsaw

Weighing only 2.5 kg, without a battery, this high-end domestic chainsaw features a 12-inch (30 cm) bar, 14 m/s chain speed, and narrow ¼-inch PM3 saw chain for extremely high-precision cutting.

Also fitted with a potentiometer, allowing you to adjust the chainsaw’s speed with ease, the MSA 70 CB’s low vibration levels make it a very comfortable tool to use.

The STIHL Electric Motor

Compact and lightweight, the 0.9 kW (1.2 hp) STIHL electric motor is highly efficient and easy to maintain. It has a long service life and fully utilises the battery’s power.

And with a sound power level of just 91 dB(A), this high-precision battery-powered chainsaw is quiet when operating too.

Quick Chain Tensioning Feature

STIHL’s Quick Chain Tensioning feature allows you to quickly tighten, loosen or replace the MSA 70’s chain, simply by turning a wheel on the side of the tool.

Just turn the wheel to the right to increase the saw chain’s tension, and to the left to loosen it. Once you tighten the sprocket cover, the guide bar is automatically secured in place.

STIHL’s Quick Stop Super Chain Brake

STIHL’s unique Quick Stop Super Chain Brake means you can activate the chain brake from the chainsaw’s rear handle, regardless of your working position. This smart safety feature is particularly useful when you’re carrying out tasks that require you to frequently stop the machine.

If the front hand guard is operated, should there be sufficiently strong kickback, or when you release the rear handle, the chain is stopped in seconds.

Ergonomically Designed Handles

The MSA 70 CB is designed with a soft-grip rear control handle, including Ergo Lever. Not only is this handle exceptionally comfortable to hold, but it also improves your grip on the chainsaw, particularly in wet conditions.

As the MSA 70 comes with an ergonomically designed front handle too, this encourages you to always adopt the correct 2-handed posture when operating the chainsaw, making for consistently safe and effective working practice.

The MSA 70 CB’s Oil Tank

This STIHL chainsaw features a transparent oil tank, so you can monitor the oil level without removing the tank cap. When more oil is eventually needed, the cap is simple to remove, without using tools.

This means you don’t need to waste unnecessary time checking or adding oil, leaving you free to press on with your tasks.
