The MS 211 has low vibrations, excellent power and a good cutting speed to make it suitable for a wide range of garden jobs. With a choice between 14 inch / 35 cm or 16 inch / 40 cm bar lengths.
Durable & robust
Thanks to a pre-separation air filtration system, noticeably longer filter life compared to conventional filter systems is facilitated. Air is pre-cleaned before being routed to the air filter via the pre-separation duct. A compensator in the carburettor also means the air filter doesn't have to be cleaned as frequently, because the engine power and fuel/air ratio in the combustion mixture is maintained even as the filter becomes clogged. The chain is also well-looked-after, with the Ematic chain lubrication system ensuring maximum lubrication, longer wear and less oil consumption.
Economical & efficient
As well as low oil consumption from the Ematic system, STIHL's 2-MIX engine technology is also well known for its efficiency, while not compromising on power. Advanced combustion technology also comes into play, with four overflow channels swirling the fuel-air mix before ignition, allowing for optimum combustion and highly efficient performance. This results in lower fuel consumption and high torque across a broad rpm range.
Comfortable, simple operation
Vibrations at the handles of this saw are significantly reduced courtesy of STIHL's anti-vibration technology. This dampens engine oscillations to help guard against the long-term effects on blood vessels that such intense vibrations can otherwise have. All of the MS 211's important functions such as start, choke, throttle and stop can be operated using a single lever, and the chain tensioner is sensibly located at the side of the unit so that you don't have to touch the sharp saw chain. As a final touch to aid ease-of-use, special catches on the fuel and oil tanks allow for easy opening and locking without the need for tools, helping reduce spillages and the overall hassle of refilling.
