Reliable starting & operation
An electronic ignition module ensures reliable starting and trouble-free operation. The ignition system itself is fully enclosed for protection against damp and dirt, so you can rest assured on the durability of the FS 55’s ignition system for years to come. You can deliver fuel manually to the carburettor at the touch of a button thanks to the manual fuel pump. This is ideal for reducing the number of starting strokes required after long breaks in operation.
Comfortable, simple control
Being operated by a bike handle, you can enjoy a smooth mowing action and easy guiding, when it is used in conjunction with a harness. This set up allows you to work on large areas with less fatigue, so is a great way to maintain gardens and areas of grass. A multi-function control handle with integral throttle trigger and slide control run/stop selector keeps all the controls within reach, for easy, comfortable thumb operation without the need to take your hand off the handle.
If you want to use a blade with the FS 55, we recommend the STIHL Grass Cutting Blade (2 Tooth). You will require a blade fit kit, and the appropriate metal blade guard in addition.
