The MSA 161 T is STIHL's cordless top-handle chainsaw for use by licensed arborists only. This particular model comes with a 12 inch bar and chain. It's a desirable saw offering the highest performance and greatest energy efficiency whilst also giving ultimate flexibility for use.

Featuring a powerful but lightweight and extremely efficient electric motor coupled with the smooth and efficient 1/4" PM3 saw chain, the chainsaw gives a consistently high performance every cut. Maintaining the saw has never been easier with features including a side chain tensioner which eliminates contact with the chain itself, and a tool-less filler cap for hassle-free refilling.
Packed full of safety features
A new side-lock button remains locked until the button is engaged for increased safety. A hand guard ensures clear feedback when engaging with the chain brake. The QuickStop Super Chain Brake is an additional braking system for improved safety; the chain stops in a matter of seconds when any of the triggers are activated offering further protection in all working positions, these triggers include: directly at the rear handle, when there is strong kickback, and when the front hand guard is activated.

Being battery-powered, the MSA 161 T saw has numerous benefits over a petrol/electric machine. For starters, there is no cord to restrict movement or get in the way during use.
