A lightweight long-reach hedge trimmer for commercial users

The latest addition to STIHL's versatile, professional AP battery system is a professional long-reach hedge trimmer, the HLA 66. It's suitable for small garden maintenance businesses, grounds keepers, and landscapers for trimming tall hedges, and side and top growth when used with the optional catcher plate.

Long enough for the majority of tall hedges with an angled head

The HLA 66 has a 50 cm / 20 inch long blade that is sharpened on both sides for the perfect cut. It can be angled from -45º to +70º for achieving the ideal angle for the hedge in question, which again helps to achieve an even finish. The total length of the unit is 205 cm which is long enough for reaching the tops of the majority of tall hedges, however it can be folded down to measure 125 cm for easier transport.

Built-in comfort features ensure a pleasant user experience

The HLA 66 has been designed for the professional user, and as such boasts a plethora of user-friendly features for a comfortable operation. The unit itself is lightweight weighing 3.6 kg (without battery) which is ideal for reducing the fatigue felt from continuous use. The new control handle has been ergonomically designed with a self-resetting Ergo lever that prevents unintentional pressing of the on/off switch; it's also suited to both left and right handed users. The loop handle itself allows for accurate control when trimming and the anti-slip grip offers further precision as well as comfort for the user.

STIHL's AP battery system is efficient and cost-effective for the professional user

One compatible battery will power a fleet of garden machinery which is both cost effective and space-saving especially for commercial users. The shell only does not include any batteries or charger and must be purchased separately if not already owned; you have the freedom to choose the right battery and charger for the job at hand and budget available, however STIHL recommend the AP 200 battery for up to 144 minutes working time per charge.

Featuring STIHL's own brushless electric motor which ensures the right amount of power is delivered to the engine no matter what compatible battery is inserted and its charge level, ensuring a consistent performance. It also requires minimal maintenance saving time and money long term.
