The STIHL RMA 243 Cordless Lawn Mower offers quiet and convenient performance for small and medium-sized gardens. Its generous 41cm cutting width provides efficient coverage while maintaining good manoeuvrability around borders and other garden features.

As part of the STIHL AK System, the mower works with compatible batteries shared across other suitable STIHL tools. Using the recommended AK 20 battery, the RMA 243 can mow lawns measuring up to 230m² per charge.

Adaptable Four-in-One Mowing

The RMA 243 provides four mowing options, giving homeowners greater flexibility when maintaining different lawn conditions. Users can choose between collection, cut-and-drop mowing, side discharge or mulching depending on their preferred finish.

The integrated side-discharge flap distributes clippings conveniently when collection is not required. Alternatively, the multi-blade and mulching attachment process clippings before returning them directly onto the lawn.

Robust Steel Deck and Flexible Cutting Heights

A durable sheet steel mowing deck provides the strength required for dependable domestic lawn maintenance. Its torsion-resistant construction creates a robust housing designed to withstand regular mowing throughout the gardening season.

The convenient central cutting-height adjustment provides settings ranging from 20mm to 100mm. A clear scale shows the current setting, making it straightforward to select an appropriate cutting height.

Consistent Cordless Cutting Performance

STIHL’s CONSTANT POWER technology maintains strong performance throughout the battery charge rather than gradually reducing output. This allows users to experience consistent cutting power while completing their lawn maintenance.

The intelligent POWER BOOST function enables compatible batteries and tools to communicate electronically during operation. Maximum available power is delivered when required, while output can adjust temporarily during especially intensive use.

The mower features two AK battery slots, allowing a second battery to be conveniently carried onboard. Once the first battery becomes depleted, users can switch batteries and continue working with minimal interruption.

A height-adjustable mono-comfort handlebar helps users achieve a comfortable and ergonomic mowing position. Tool-free height adjustment provides convenient personalisation, while the single-sided design improves access to the grass collector.

The spacious 52-litre folding grass collection box provides excellent capacity for collecting clippings across domestic lawns. Its fill-level indicator clearly shows when emptying is required, helping users manage collection more efficiently.

A flow-optimised blade reduces air resistance and helps make efficient use of available battery energy. This thoughtful design supports increased mowing coverage without unnecessarily consuming stored battery power.

Designed for Easy Everyday Ownership

Robust smooth-running wheels provide reliable traction and directional stability for comfortable manoeuvring across the lawn. An integrated carry handle makes moving the mower between storage and working areas easier.

The foldable handlebar creates a more compact machine when storage space is limited. IPX4 splashwater protection means the mower is protected against splashwater coming from all directions.

The RMA 243 is available tool only or as a set including battery and charger. Customers can therefore choose the configuration that best suits their existing STIHL AK System equipment.
