Weighing just 5.58 kg (without fuel, but including the bar and chain), the STIHL MS 231 includes a high-performance, low-emission 2-MIX engine, which gives it an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 2.4 kg/ kW.  The 0.375-inch cutting attachment is designed with a narrow kerf to ensure high-precision sawing, while the tool’s sound power level is 114 dB(A).

You can purchase this STIHL petrol chainsaw with either a 35 cm (14-inch) or 40 cm (16-inch) guide bar, depending on your own sawing requirements.

The High-Performing, Low-Emission 2-MIX Engine

The MS231’s 2.7 hp (2 kW) 2-MIX engine is low emission but extremely high performing. It releases up to 70% fewer emissions and has up to 20% lower fuel consumption than an equivalent STIHL 2-stroke engine without the 2-MIX technology. Not only will this save you money on running costs, but it’s also far kinder to the environment.
