The CAMON LS42 Petrol Scarifier is built for gardeners who want fast, effective thatch removal and long-lasting lawn improvement. Thatch and moss can prevent air, water, and nutrients from reaching the soil, weakening lawn growth. This machine is designed to restore lawn health by removing compacted organic material efficiently. Powered by a high-speed Honda GX160 engine, it delivers reliable performance and strong cutting force, even on lawns that have not been scarified for several seasons.

The Honda GX160 engine rotates the blades at high speed, ensuring maximum thatch removal with every pass. This strong performance helps open the soil surface, improving aeration and nutrient absorption. The scarifier can also be paired with an optional 55 litre collection bag, which gathers debris directly as you work. This reduces cleanup time and keeps the lawn clear during operation, making the process cleaner and more efficient.

The LS42 has been newly designed to improve both user comfort and machine control. The narrower wheels allow precise movement close to walls, fences, and tight garden edges. Wheel scrapers prevent debris from building up, helping maintain smooth movement across the lawn. This ensures better handling, especially when working on slightly uneven ground.

To reduce fatigue during longer sessions, the engine is mounted on rubber vibration-dampening blocks. These mounts absorb movement, lowering vibration levels and making the machine more comfortable to operate. The revised height adjustment knob allows quick and accurate control of cutting depth. Correct depth selection ensures effective scarifying without damaging healthy grass. This adjustment helps protect roots while still removing dense layers of thatch and moss.

The angled rear discharge flap helps direct lifted material away from the machine, reducing blockages and improving workflow. This allows the scarifier to move smoothly across the lawn without frequent interruptions.

The LS42 uses a free-swinging blade cartridge containing 30 blades, each 1.6 mm thick. The blades are arranged in a staggered, waisted design, helping them maintain sharpness for longer periods. The cartridge is reversible, allowing double use before replacement is required. This extends maintenance intervals and reduces overall running costs.
