The world's first battery powered disc cutter
STIHL's TSA 230 is the world's first battery disc cutter which offers unparalleled versatility thanks to its cordless operation. It has a 9 inch / 230 mm blade disc and can cut up to 70 mm deep, and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Utilising STIHL's professional, versatile, AP battery system, the disc cutter is most suited to the professional user looking to cleanly cut bricks, slabs, and stones.
Battery power has numerous advantages
With a STIHL electric motor, the TSA 230 is extremely energy efficient, runs quietly, generates low vibrations, and requires no servicing. Being battery powered there are no harmful emissions too, which makes for a positive experience for both the user and the environment. Without a heavy fuel tank and other engine components, the cordless disc cutter is lightweight and weighs just 3.9 kg (without the battery and cutting wheel) making it a pleasure to use, even for prolonged periods.
Design features for effective, comfortable use
An ergonomic wrap-around handle means more comfortable and precise use in a variety of positions, and an electronic coasting brake quickly and safely stops the blade with no free wheeling. The hose attachment allows for water to be supplied to the blade disc which helps to suppress any dust produced during cutting. When required, the cutting wheel can be replaced quickly and efficiently with a spindle lock mechanism.
Everything you need to get started
The kit includes everything you need to get started; it consists of the disc cutter shell, an AP 300 battery, and an AL 500 quick charger. On one full charge the disc cutter can perform for up to 18 minutes with the AP 300 battery, and the quick charger will have you ready to go again in just 35 minutes.
N.B. please note a KM-E metal composite disc is included, NOT the one pictured.
