A very lightweight yet powerful cordless pole pruner
Say hello to STIHL’s newest professional pole pruner from their professional AP cordless system. It is ideal for the trimming of branches that are high up, and being battery-powered lends wells to this as it’s lightweight, even with the recommended AP 200 battery.
Superb cutting of high up branches in all weather conditions
Reaching branches that are high up is hassle-free with a total length of pruner measuring 240 cm, and the soft-grip handle bar makes for sturdy yet comfortable operation. The bar features a 1/4″ PM3 chain that gives a clean, high performance cut. The entire machine is weatherproof which means it’s suitable for use in wet conditions including rain (but not a heavy downpour).
Comfortable and easy to use
Once the battery has been inserted, the pole pruner is exceptionally well balanced which combined with it’s light weight (around 6 kg depending on the battery used) makes for fatigue-free working. The ergonomic control handle is natural to use, and also includes a safety feature to prevent unintentional turning on of the machine. A tool-less oil cap that’s easy to open and close, a branch hook for removing clippings, and side chain tensioning to prevent contact with the chain are all handy features.
You won’t be constrained by battery power
There are many advantages to switching to a battery-powered machine; you won’t be surrounded by petrol fumes or loud noises, or have to deal with heavy weight or expensive maintenance, and there are no constraints from a power cable. The brushless electric motor (EC) is very efficient and practically maintenance free for longer-lasting use.
Requires a battery and charger
A battery and a charger are required to operate this pole pruner. Any AP System battery is compatible, whether you already have one from your STIHL fleet or want to choose a suitable battery for your requirements. STIHL recommend the AP 200 battery which provides up to 41 minutes working time, and the AL 500 quick charger which will restore the aforementioned battery from 0-100% in the fastest time of 45 minutes.
