The HS 45 is a lightweight, 0.75 kW hedge trimmer that is an ideal introduction to STIHL's range. This is the 18 inch / 45 cm version.

2-MIX engine technology as standard

Providing low weight, low fuel consumption and low emissions, as well as excellent acceleration, STIHL's 2-MIX engine technology has been designed specially for the new generation of hedge trimmers. It always has sufficient power reserves for cutting thicker shrubs, giving you the versatility to take on a wide range of garden trimming jobs.

Easy to start, easy to use

Because of the manual fuel pump that delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button, the number of starting pulls necessary after extended breaks in operation is minimised. With an electronic ignition module, you can also enjoy reliable starting and trouble-free running. Being full encapsulated, the ignition system is also protected from damp and dirt.

Comfortable & robust

The 18 inch cutting blade is double-sided and ground on one side, offering excellent cutting performance. Because of STIHL's anti-vibration system where the oscillations from the machine's engine are dampened, vibrations at the handle are significantly reduced, helping to guard against the long-term effects on the hands and arms that intense vibrations from power tools can cause. Finally, a long-life air filter system means you have to clean less frequently, and ensures better protection of the engine.
