The FS 131 R is one of STIHL's latest machines to use their 4-MIX mixed lubrication technology, with this model boasting a 36.3cc, 1.4 kW engine. Running on a fuel-oil mix like a 2-stroke machine, you can expect excellent acceleration, power and torque, plus less noise and emissions with increased fuel efficiency, allowing you to get jobs done more quickly, quietly and easily.
Supplied as standard with this machine is an AutoCut mowing head, ideal for mowing large areas of grass in no time, and a single shoulder harness.
Simple operation for hassle-free working
A key benefit of the AutoCut mowing head included with this machine is the ability to effortlessly renew the mowing line as it wears by tapping the head of the tool on the ground while working. In this way you can ensure you always have maximum cutting performance when you need it most. The FS 131 R is also an easy model to start, courtesy of a manual fuel pump, which delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button and therefore means you need fewer starting strokes, plus a decompression system, which minimises the level of force required to pull the starter cord.
Coupled with an air filter with a long service life, you have a machine that won't let you down.
A comfortable machine to work with
Supplied with a single strap shoulder harness and weighing just 5.5 kg, the FS 131 R is a great brushcutter to operate without strain. Also benefiting from STIHL's anti-vibration system, the engine's oscillations are dampened so that vibrations at the handles are significantly reduced. Furthermore, the important engine and speed controls are grouped together within easy reach, while the stop switch automatically resets to the starting position after use, for simple and efficient operation.
