Powered by a 36.3cc STIHL 4-MIX engine, the FS 131 is an impressive and capable machine. Controlled with a bike handle, it is supplied with a metal grass blade and AutoCut mowing head.
The latest 4-MIX technology
Using a 36.3cc, 1.4 kW STIHL 4-MIX engine, the FS 131 is able to enjoy faster acceleration with increased power, torque and fuel efficiency, plus lower noise and emissions. It runs on a fuel-oil mix like a 2-stroke engine, but enjoys the advantages of 4-stroke power without the negatives. You will find yourself completing jobs faster, quieter and easier than ever before.
Supplied with both a metal grass blade (for handling tough grass and weeds) as well as an AutoCut mowing head (for larger areas of thinner grass).
An easy machine to work with
Supplied with an AutoCut mowing head, you can tap the head on the ground to renew the mowing line as it wears while working. An easier model to start, a manual fuel pump is available to deliver fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button (which minimises the starting strokes needed after inactivity), as well as a decompression system to reduce the level of force required to use the starter cord.
The FS 131 also has a long life air filter, easily accessible and able to go long periods without changing.
Superbly comfortable to use without fatigue
Weighing just 5.8 kg and supplied as standard with STIHL's soft-padded ADVANCE Universal double shoulder harness, the FS 131 is comfortable to use even over long periods. It has the added benefit of STIHL's anti-vibration technology, which dampens oscillations from the engine to reduce the level of vibrations present at the handle. As it is controlled with a bike handle, you can smoothly mow wide areas with ease.
Speed and engine controls are present together in easy reach, while the stop switch also returns to the start position automatically.
