4-MIX engine technology provides several benefits

The 1.4 kW engine in this machine combines all the advantages of four-stroke machinery with that of a two-stroke, while using a fuel-oil mix. This provides economical, efficient operation, with less emissions and no need for oil servicing. You can expect smooth, responsive and powerful performance, and the inclusion of a long-life air filter system together with the compensator being integrated into the carburettor, gives long cleaning intervals and reliable engine protection.

Work for longer in comfort

Thanks to a vibration-dampening frame complete with four vibration elements, you can enjoy comfortable working and lower fatigue while using this auger. The handle frame is separate from the engine, so you can operate more easily and for longer periods. Hip padding is also included, so that the auger is safe and simple to work with.

Simple operation & straightforward controls

Benefiting from STIHL's QuickStop drill brake, the BT 131 uses a release lever to stop the drill if it becomes stuck in the ground. This also works as a reverse rotation lock, so you can easily unscrew a stuck bit. General operation is performed using a multi-function handle containing all operating elements for the engine control, allowing you to use finger pressure for operation and keep your hand in the operating position at all times.
