The STIHL RT 5097 Z features a strong twin cylinder STIHL EVC 700 engine for a highly powerful performance which is perfect for use on lawns up to 6000 m2.
A guided cutting experience
Thanks to an intelligent catching management system in the RT 5097 Z; the grass is guided up towards the blades for a finer cut, increasing productivity levels of the ride-on mower. In addition; the cutting heights system enables the user to choose between a range of 8 different cutting heights giving the user full control over the desired cutting finish.
Individualised adjustments
Comfort and performance are not just reserved for deluxe models; with the STIHL RT 5097 Z; the user is able to enjoy the spring loaded seat which can be adjusted to suit the individual’s height for a more comfortable mowing experience.
In addition, thanks to the central cutting height adjustment lever which is located directly next to the driver’s seat; the user is able to to adjust the deck cutting height up to eight steps ranging between 30 to 100 mm.Â

Large 250 litre grass catcher boxÂ
The STIHL RT 5097 ride-on mower is kitted with a large 250 litre polymer grass catcher box to collect the grass cuttings for a mess-free mowing experience, and once it is full; it can be emptied effortlessly using a curved shaped handle that is conveniently placed by the drivers seat. It can also be cleaned very easily.
Single pedal drive
Thanks to a single pedal drive system; the direction of the STIHL RT 5097 Z can be switched from forward to reverse motion with the use of a hand lever for quick manoeuvring. The single pedal also enables the user to have full control over the speed thanks to the pressure-sensitive pedal.
