The STIHL GTA 26 Cordless Garden Pruner’s Technical Spec

Featuring a 4-inch (10 cm) guide bar and ¼ inch PM3 saw chain with galvanised teeth, STIHL’s GTA 26 Cordless Garden Pruner delivers outstanding cutting performance.

Weighing only 1.45 kg (including the battery), this premium 10.8 v pruning saw has a power output of 0.18 kW and is able to cut branches up to 4 cm in diameter. It has a sound power level of 86 dB(A) and sound pressure level of 78 dB(A), so is quiet when operating too.

The Flexible Protective Hood

To help you work as safely and efficiently as possible, the STIHL GTA 26’s chain is fitted with a protective hood. Specially designed to not obstruct your view, this flexible hood can be folded at a 90 degree angle to enable you to benefit from using the full length of the saw bar.

Operating the STIHL GTA 26 Battery Pruner

Thanks to its rubberised, non-slip handle, the STIHL GTA 26 Battery Pruner is very comfortable to operate. As well as making your pruning more pleasurable, this ergonomic design will also improve the accuracy of your work.

The LED Charge-Level Indicator

You can view the battery’s status, whenever you like, by simply pushing a button on the tool. The charge level is then displayed as an LED.

This useful feature helps ensure that you don’t run out of battery charge in the middle of your pruning jobs.

Replacing the GTA 26 Chain

Should you ever require a STIHL GTA 26 replacement chain, you can quickly fit it without using tools, so long-term maintenance is much easier than with other battery-powered pruners.

Appropriate Battery and Charger

The STIHL GTA 26 Cordless Pruner is powered by a STIHL AS 2 battery. You should purchase this, along with a STIHL AL 1 charger, from us separately.

The tool will operate for 25 minutes on a single charge of one of these batteries. This equates to about 80 cuts on branches that are 4 cm thick.
