The Stihl BR 450 C’s 2 Starting Systems

The Stihl BR450 C EF features 2 different starting systems: Ergostart and Electrostart.

Ergostart includes an additional spring between the crankshaft and the starter cord roll, which ensures that, even on cold mornings and with a slow pull, the blower will reliably start every time.

The Electrostart feature is designed for simplified warm starting, after a short break in operating the machine. You can use it by just pushing a button on the control handle, so the machine can remain on your back, at all times. And because its lithium-ion battery is automatically recharged whenever the blower is in use, Electrostart is always primed and ready to go.
