Designed with tough jobs and robust performance in mind, the 455 Rancher uses a three-piece forged crankshaft to provide maximum durability. Reduced wear and longer operating times between filter cleanings result from a centrifugal air cleaning system, while felling marks allow for precise operation, and a combined choke and stop control results in easier starting as well as reducing the risk of engine flooding.

The oil pump is adjustable, so you can set the lubrication to meet your needs, and the side-mounted chain tensioner makes adjusting it simple. 

Fatigue-free operation in your hands

The 455 Rancher makes use of an angled grip for a more natural working position, as well as LowVib vibration dampeners to guard your arms and hands from the harmful effects of prolonged exposure. Thanks to Husqvarna's Smart Start technology, starter cord resistance is reduced by up to 40 percent, and the saw starts more quickly with minimum effort.
