FAQs
What brands of lawnmower take cartridges?
We only sell cartridges for Allett lawnmowers. This includes the company’s QC (Quick Cartridge), RC (Removable Cartridge), and UC (Ultra Change) systems.
Are lawnmower cartridges just for mowing?
No. While you can buy Allett’s 6-bladed and 10-bladed cylinders for mowing, we also sell cassettes for aerating, dethatching, lawn brushing, scarifying, and verticutting—in other words, all the cartridges manufactured by Allett.
How do I know which cartridge system fits my Allett lawn mower?
Traditionally, Allett QC cartridges were designed for Kensington and Liberty mowers, UC cartridges for Stirling models, and RC for Cambridge machines. However, Allett no longer manufactures QC cartridges. If you own an older, QC-enabled machine, you should buy an RC-system cartridge and fit it by replacing the single-screw brackets with the rubber bungs supplied in the pack.
Is it easy to install a lawnmower cartridge?
Yes. Installing a cartridge from Allett’s new RC system takes less than a minute. The only tool required is a standard 5mm Allen key. Fitting a UC cartridge takes even less time, with no tools required.
Where is the best place to store lawnmower cartridges?
We recommend purchasing an Allett Cartridge Stand. This superb storage solution can be wall-mounted or free standing, and is compatible with QC, RC, and UC cassettes. Each stand is designed to hold three cartridges.
