Delivery update 26/03/20
Due to an unprecedented volume of orders over the past few days, we would ask that you allow an additional 2-3 working days for your orders to arrive. We are working as hard as we can, but with an increased volume of orders and fewer staff members because of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we ask for your understanding. You will receive an email as soon as your order has been dispatched, so you know when to expect delivery. We thank you for your patience.
Free Delivery: On orders over £150*
If your total order value is £150 or over, you will usually be entitled to free standard delivery. Some specific items under this value are also eligible for free delivery. This applies to UK postcodes, but excludes some Scottish Highland postcodes, remote locations and islands. You can enter your postcode at the Basket stage to see a list of applicable delivery methods and charges. Most items will be delivered within 1-2 working days from the point at which you order. If an item is urgent, we advise contacting us first so that we can confirm stock availability. Heavy items are sent via pallet and may take 1-2 working days. Tractors and ride-ons can only be delivered within 100 miles of our branches. Contact us for pricing to your location if outside that range.
If your order is urgent, please contact us before placing it. Delivery for items under £150 ranges from £5.50 to £7.00, with surcharges applying on top of this to remote postcodes.
We use a variety of delivery companies, such as FedEx, Tooles Transport and DPD. For smaller, stocked items under 30 kg and less than 1 metre in length, you can usually choose to have these shipped with Standard Delivery (with TNT or FedEx depending on the product), or Premium DPD Delivery, which provides the benefit of a 1 hour delivery slot and customisable delivery date and locations. You will receive an email and text message with the delivery information upon dispatch. For more information, view the DPD website.
If you are ordering multiple items or larger products, we will use a different carrier. If it is essential that your order is sent with DPD, please contact us before placing your order.
Some STIHL bladed-tools cannot be sent via post and must be collected in store. These are clearly marked on the item page and when you try to place your order. Also, tractors and ride-ons can only be delivered for free within a 100 mile radius of our branches, as they must be set up by our staff (and it means we can provide any warranty help as necessary). If you would like to order beyond this range, please contact us for a quote.
Certain items are available for delivery on a Saturday or Sunday. This applies to smaller items and is subject to a surcharge. The Saturday/Sunday delivery options do not necessarily mean the next possible Saturday/Sunday, but depending on stock levels and availability, it may, for example, simply be the next available Saturday/Sunday we can get the product to you. Please contact us for more information if you are unsure or need your item urgently. We are always able to quote for Saturday/Sunday delivery on any item, but this must be done by contacting us directly.
Tractors and ride-ons can only be delivered free if you are within 100 miles of our branches as they must be delivered by our trained staff and using our own vehicles. Please do contact us for pricing to your location if outside that range.
We are able to ship most of our products internationally. Please contact us directly for quotes on this service.
Leaving items in a safe place
Our delivery carriers are usually willing to leave items in a safe place if you are out. Please use the Comments box when ordering to specify a location, but note that we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to items as a result of being left unattended based on your instructions.
All the machinery we sell is brand new (unless specifically indicated), but before delivery it will have been fully tested by the manufacturer's trained technicians. This means there may be traces of oil or fuel, and very minor signs of use on your machine, and it may not be in its original box. Items are often also repackaged to ensure safe delivery.
