A high grass, ride-on mower with four-wheel drive and extra-large wheels
The AS 940 Sherpa is a ride-on mulching mower and this one has permanent four-wheel drive and extra-large wheels for 30 mm additional ground clearance. It will tackle high grass, flower meadows, and dense growth and forest on uneven and sloped terrain. The machine is ideal for many uses, including gardening and landscaping of private gardens and commercial spaces, and maintaining outdoor facilities, public parks, and residential lawns.
All-terrain mobility
The highly tubular frame of the Sherpa allows it to perform under the harshest conditions. Large field stud tyres, switchable limited slip differential, and a Briggs & Stratton 2-cylinder petrol engine with 724 cc and 27 hp all ensure powerful traction required for tackling slopes and difficult terrain. The surfing deck follows the contours of the ground ensuring a clean cut even on rough terrain.
Excellent manoeuvrability
The variable hydrostatic transmission enables easy adaptation of the speed using a single drive lever, to a top forward speed of 6.7 km/h and a maximum reverse speed of 6.5 km/h.
cutting performance
The floating 90 cm deck comprises bearing-supported blades to cut the grass, and a mulching blade positioned above them to shred the cuttings; clippings are then deposited between the wheels for added safety on slopes and wet grass. The ride-on mulching mower can be expected to provide up to 5500m2 coverage per hour. The cutting height is adjustable through 5 preset positions 80-135 cm.
Designed for continuous operation
To prevent the Sherpa from overheating during continued use there are two separate ventilation circuits – one for the engine and one for the hydrostatic transmission – which also helps to ensure a long service life. Users up to 2 metres tall can sit comfortably in the length-adjustable seat.
Optional extras
These additional accessories are available to purchase separately to turn the AS 940 Sherpa into a versatile machine; a mulching kit for even finer mulching of grass up to 40 cm high, a front-mounted snow blade, a weatherproof cab for protection in adverse conditions, and a trailer hitch and trailer can all be added to the ride-on mower to enhance its uses.
