Reduced-emission 2-MIX engine

STIHL's 2-MIX engine is a 2-stroke engine with stratified charge. A fuel-free layer of air is created between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh charge in the crankcase. This reduces the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle, allowing for more power and lower weight. You can expect up to 20% lower fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke engines, and much lower exhaust emissions.

Versatile & easy to use

The bike handle control enables a smooth mowing action when used in conjunction with a harness. This allows the machine to be easily guided, making it ideal for large areas. The handle can be adjusted without the need for tools, and can be rotated by 90 degrees for easy storage and transportation. A multi-function control handle makes comfortable, thumb-operated control easy, while a winter setting prevents the air filter and carburettor from freezing. Anti-vibration technology means you can use the machine for longer without fatigue.

Reliable, simple starting

Because of STIHL's ErgoStart system, the effort needed to start the tool is reduced. The starter tool can also be pulled at just one third of the normal force. A manual fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button, reducing the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operation.
