The Husqvarna 435X AWD Automower

The Husqvarna Automower 435X AWD weighs 17.6 kg, measures 93 cm (L) x 55 cm (W) x 29 cm (H), and is powered by an 8 Ah lithium-ion battery. It is suitable for use on lawns up to 3,500m² and completely emission free.

With three pivoting, razor-sharp blades, this robotic mower has a cutting width of 22 cm, and adjustable cutting height of between 30 and 70 mm. Sporting Husqvarna’s stylish X-lined design with LED headlights, it is fast, efficient and very easy to operate.

The Husqvarna 435X is able to handle uneven terrain too, including slopes of up to 70% (50% on the lawn’s boundaries). And with a perceived sound level of only 60 dB(A), it is extremely quiet when operating.

The Husqvarna Automower® Connect App

After connecting the 435X AWD to the Husqvarna Automower® Connect app, you’ll be in full control of its operations through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, from the comfort and convenience of your smartphone.

Through this superb app, you can manage the robot mower’s settings (including the cutting height) and monitor its operations. You’ll also be able to access invaluable tips and information about caring for your lawn.

Automower® Connect allows you to integrate the Automower 435 X AWD with a Gardena Smart System too, so your mowing and watering can be organised in conjunction with each other.

Integrating the 435X Into Your Smart Home

The Automower 435 X AWD is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and ‘If This Then That’ (IFTTT) technology, so you’ll have voice control over its actions. You can issue commands, like ‘start’, ‘stop’ and ‘park’, as well as get status updates from the mower via the voice assistant.

IFTTT ensures your robot mower is even better integrated into your smart home, as it enables automated actions in response to a wide range of different situations. This could include parking the mower when your children return home from school or suspending its activities in the event of heavy rain.

The 435X AWD’s body is designed with a leading-edge Automower® Access control panel, including high-resolution colour display, jog wheel and status indicators, providing you with an intuitive, yet sophisticated, way of controlling your mower.

AIM Technology and Automower® Zone Control

Automower® Intelligent Mapping (AIM) utilises the Husqvarna Automower 435X’s GPS and built-in sensors to create a virtual map of your lawn and enable a variety of smart features. You can view this map through the Automower® Connect app.

The 435X Automower’s Zone Control allows you to divide your garden into multiple work areas with different settings, including temporary ‘stay-out zones’. This means you can set separate schedules and/ or cutting heights in different parts of your garden.

GPS-Assisted Navigation (Patented)

The Husqvarna 435X AWD uses GPS to adjust its mowing schedule in real time to account for the areas it has already covered, resulting in a perfectly manicured lawn.

Automatic Passage Handling (Patented)

This robot mower automatically senses and successfully navigates narrow passages. It will vary its route through these passages to avoid creating wheel marks on the lawn.

Detecting Hazards

The 435X AWD robotic mower has built-in sensors, which use ultrasonic technology to detect foreign objects on your lawn. Once it has spotted them, the automower lowers its speed to avoid a hard collision.

Setting Up a Secondary Area

If your lawn is divided into separate areas, and there isn’t a connecting passage between them, you can create what is known as a ‘secondary area’.

All you need to do is set the boundary wire around this area, then manually move the 435X into it. The automower will then begin cutting this part of the lawn on the chosen setting.

The Weather Timer Feature

Thanks to its Weather Timer feature, the Husqvarna 435X Automower adjusts its mowing schedules to match the changing seasons.

So, during periods of strong grass growth it maximises cutting times, while in dry weather it spends less time mowing. This helps keep your lawn healthy and looking attractive, while preventing unnecessary work.

Rewilding Mode

The Husqvarna 435X Automower’s Rewilding Mode encourages more biodiverse habitats in your garden by automatically allocating 10% of your lawn to rewilding. If you select this option, the mower will leave the area untouched for as long as you require.

You can rescale, reshape, move or remove the rewilding zone at any time.

Safe and Secure Robotic Mowing

If this 435X Husqvarna is lifted off the ground, or in the unlikely event it tips over, it will immediately stop cutting and a loud alarm will sound.

The 435X Husqvarna is also fully alarmed and PIN protected against theft. However, if it were still to be stolen, GPS will track its movements and send you notifications of its whereabouts via the Automower Connect® app. This will help the police recover your mower with minimal fuss.

Charging the Automower 435X

The Husqvarna Automower 435X AWD takes 45 minutes to fully charge. On a full charge, it has a typical running time of 145 minutes. After completing its work, this robot mower will automatically return to its charging station.

Receiving Regular Updates

The 435X AWD benefits from Firmware Over the Air (FOTA) via the Automower® Connect app. This ensures it receives all software updates and continuously improves its performance.

Important Note to Customers 

Please be advised that when purchasing the Husqvarna AWD Automower, you will also need to buy an installation kit. This provides your mower with everything it needs to map out its designated mowing area.

There are 3 types of kit you can buy:

1. The small kit is perfect for open lawns up to 800 m², or complex lawns up to 400 m². It includes 150 m of loop wire, 300 staples, 3 splicers and 5 connectors.
2. The medium-sized kit is suitable for open lawns up to 2000 m², or complex lawns up to 1000 m². It contains 250 m of loop wire, 400 staples, 3 splicers and 5 connectors.
3. The large kit is designed for open lawns up to 5000 m², or complex lawns up to 2500 m². It consists of 400 m of loop wire, 600 staples, 5 slicers and 5 connectors.
