Efficient & powerful 2-MIX engine

Specially designed for the new generation of hedge trimmers, STIHL’s 2-MIX engine combines low consumption and emissions with low weight and excellent acceleration, while boasting the power to tackle thicker vegetation without a problem. A long-life air filter system helps to protect the engine and ensures longer cleaning intervals, while special filler caps for fuel and oil are able to be opened and closed quickly and without the need for tools.

Easy, reliable starting

One of the stand-out features of STIHL’s products is the ErgoStart system, which cuts the effort required to start the tool in half, as well as reducing the amount of force needed to pull the starter cord by two-thirds. An electronic ignition module also benefits the starting process, ensuring more reliable starting and trouble-free running. The ignition system is fully encapsulated and protected from damp and dirt, while a manual fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button (which minimises the number of starting pulls required following extended breaks in operation).

In a world-first for petrol hedge trimmers, the HS 46 C-E features a new master control lever, which combines the choke, startup, operating position and stop functions all in one. This machine also boasts STIHL’s anti-vibration system, which reduces the oscillations from the machine’s engine so that there are significantly reduced vibrations at the handles.
