Introducing the world's first satellite-based robot mower
The world's first satellite-based robot mower, Automower® 550 EPOS utilises Husqvarna's breakthrough EPOS technology for a new series of professional Automower® robot mowers. It uses virtual boundaries as opposed to wires buried in the ground as with their other models, which offers greater flexibility and ease of use. Please note a reference station is required to operate one or more Automower® 550 EPOS robot mowers - it is the go-between for the units and the satellites.
Designed for professional fleet use
Automower® 550 EPOS is made for professional fleet use but is also suitable for larger landowners; it is for areas up to 5000m2 with inclines of up to 45%. The elimination of physical wires makes it possible to define several work areas with different timers and settings, which it will adhere to automatically; pre-set transport paths, create temporary stay-out zones, and have more flexibility with the placement of the charging station (which is included with the purchase). The robot mower will work in all weather conditions - it can withstand the harsh Nordic climate without any problems - but only if you want it to.
A fully automatic lawn care solution
Automower® is an automated lawncare solution that requires little-to-no effort. It will mow during the times you choose, even taking itself back to its docking station using the most efficient route when it needs to charge up, but will vary its route so as to not leave tracks on the lawns surface. The mowing pattern is fully customisable depending on the season, the weather, the week, the day, and the time of day.
There are so many advantages to robot lawnmowing
Not only is Automower® an automated solution that means you'll never have to mow the lawn again, it is powered by electricity and produces no harmful emissions. The costs of running it are minimal compared to a conventional lawnmower due to its low energy consumption. Its operation is so quiet that it can be put to work during the night without causing a disturbance. A lawn mowed by any Automower® including this one has a noticeably superb carpet-like finish.
An impressive cutting performance
The patented electric height adjustment of Automower® 550 EPOS is swift, and easily accessible from the main menu. Automower® cuts just a little bit and frequently - so much so you won't be able to see the cuttings - with its strong carbon steel razor-like blades which produce the healthy and visibly pleasing lawn associated with robot lawnmowing.
With important safety features for protection
The inclusion of a front bumper makes the unit resistant against bumps and knocks, however these rarely happen as Automower® will detect any obstacles and turn around before any collisions can occur. The blades are located away from the edge of the machine but if it is lifted or tilted, the blades will stop to prevent anything (or anyone) getting caught. The inclusion of safety lights (that can be set with pulsating or solid light) increase visibility of Automower® 550 EPOS particularly in darker conditions. An anti-theft alarm will sound a loud alarm if it is picked up and carried away, that can only be stopped with its unique PIN; the app (detailed below) can also tell you the GPS location of the mower at any time.
Stay in the know with Husqvarna's smart apps
The user interface of Automower® 550 EPOS has been specially adapted for professional use; monitor and control your Automower® with Automower® Connect or your Automower® fleet with the intuitive Husqvarna Fleet Services application, available on Android and Apple devices. Using Bluetooth connectivity between the robot mower and your smart device, you can see where any mower is and its status, command it to stop, start, and park (in case of adverse weather, perhaps), and well as adjust its settings including the cutting height and alarms. With a smartphone device and appDrive it is also possible to drive the mower remotely. All of the aforementioned can be done from anywhere in the world!
A reference station and professional installation are required
Automower® and the required reference station (sold separately) must be installed by our trained engineers, as pictured during our first installation in June 2021 - one of the first installations in the country! Please contact us to discuss installation, you requirements, or anything else.
