Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Field Sales Representative to promote and sell our garden machinery products. In this role, you will be responsible for building relationships with new and existing clients, identifying sales opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction within your assigned territory. Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development: Actively prospect and generate leads by identifying new business opportunities within your assigned region. Engage with potential clients, for example, landscapers, schools, trusts, and large estate owners.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct in-person product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of our garden machinery, ensuring customers understand how our products can meet their needs.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers by providing exceptional service, offering tailored solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Sales Negotiation and Closing: Handle negotiations with customers, addressing objections, providing quotes, and closing deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Market Analysis: Monitor competitor products, pricing, and market trends to stay ahead in the industry and identify new sales opportunities.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress toward targets using CRM software. Provide regular updates to the sales manager on key performance metrics and opportunities.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the features, specifications, and benefits of all products, ensuring you can offer expert advice and support to customers.
- After-Sales Support: Provide excellent post-sale support to customers, ensuring any questions or issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Main trading area: Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and some of Gloucestershire.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in field sales, preferably within the gardening, outdoor equipment, or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of garden machinery and related products is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Self-motivated, goal-orientated, and results-driven with a strong desire to succeed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel within your assigned territory.
