Comfortable operation
With a long shaft and bike handle, taller users will find the FS 460 C-EM L perfect for use over large areas, without fatigue. When used with a harness, the handle enables a smooth mowing action and for the machine to be easily guided. A multi-function control handle permits easy, comfortable, thumb-operated control, with your hand never having to leave the handle. STIHL's 4-point anti-vibration system also works to increase comfort and reduce fatigue, with steel springs minimising the transmission of vibrations to the handle.
Intelligent & efficient engine
The M-Tronic electronic engine management system adjusts ignition timing and fuel metering in all operating modes. Ensuring consistent engine performance, a constant maximum speed and superb acceleration, it takes external conditions such as temperature, altitude and fuel quality into account. Manual carburettor adjustments are rendered completely unnecessary, thanks to this system. With cold/warm start recognition and the ability to remember settings from the previous use, optimal engine performance is available every time when external conditions are the same.
Easy starting
The engine management system means the engine starts with fewer pulls and no change of position, while STIHL's ErgoStart system also means these pulls take less effort, and starting generally is made considerably easier. The starting system has been simplified, so it is quicker and easier for you to get your machine up and running.
