A flexible 51 cm cordless lawnmower for domestic lawns
The Empress 51 Li is a 48 V battery lawnmower from Mountfield's Freedom 500 range. It has a 51 cm steel cutter deck and is self-propelled making it ideal for larger domestic lawns, plus boasts a versatile 4 mowing methods.
Collect, discharge, or mulch cuttings
The cutting height of this lawnmower is adjusted centrally through 6 positions 22-80 mm. Cuttings can either be collected in the 60 Litre canvas/hard top grass bag that has a full level indicator, discharged to the side or the rear of the lawnmower, or mulched, which means cut grass is very finely shredded and returned to the surface of the lawn.
Exceptionally easy to manoeuvre - no pushing required!
The Empress 51 Li is self-propelled meaning it drives itself forward, at a fixed speed of 3.7 km/h; this means no user effort is required to push the lawnmower, only steer it, which it especially useful for sloped lawns or those who fatigue easily with a push machine.
Additional features make for convenient use and storage
Ball bearings in the 200/280 mm front/back wheels ensure smooth manoeuvrability whilst also protecting the surface of the lawn during use. The ergonomically-designed handlebar is comfortable to use, and also folds down creating a compact unit for storage.

With a battery-powered machine there is no restrictive power cable, meaning you can work anywhere without constraint. Operation is quieter and there aren't any harmful emissions to bother the user or the environment. With fewer moving parts, a battery-powered machine is virtually maintenance-free!
What's included
The kit comprises of the lawnmower shell, 2 x 48 V 5.0 Ah batteries, and a 48 V dual charging unit. Any 48 V Mountfield battery and charger is compatible with the lawnmower and other handheld garden tools in the Freedom 500 series.
A 2 year domestic warranty with Mountfield is included, we will register the machine. T&Cs apply.
