This Allett UC51V Verticut Cartridge features include closely spaced, thin blades which help to pick up flat lying grasses that your cylinder would usually miss, therefore helping new growth and increasing turf thickness.  

The purpose of verticutting

The Allett Verticut cartridge compatible with the Stirling 51, can be used to remove thatch; the specifically designed blades on the Verticut cartridge clears away dead grass that usually contributes to the thatch layer, and anything over half an inch of thatch can impact the growth process.  In addition, the Verticutter cartridge is highly effective in improving tillering and stolon formation by pruning the grasses, and gives a consistently cleaner cut to promoted healthy growth as well as increase the thickness of the turf.

When to use the Verticut Cartridge

It is recommended to use the verticutter cartridge approximately every two weeks between April to September to achieve a healthy, dense and luscious lawn.
