Supplied as standard with a 12 inch / 300 mm abrasive cutting wheel, the TS 480i offers numerous benefits for discerning users. Able to operated as a handheld saw or using the FW 20 cart.

Efficient, high-performance design

STIHL's electronically controlled fuel injection system means you can rely on perfect running properties every time you use your machine. It also reduces fuel consumption compared to tools without the technology. The 2-MIX 2-stroke engine present in the TS 480i also gives up to 20 percent lower fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke engines, thanks to its stratified charge. You receive further benefits from more power with lower weight and significantly reduced exhaust emissions.

Comfortable operation

Anti-vibration technology dampens the engine's oscillations so that vibrations at the handles are significantly reduced. On top of this, the TS 480i uses STIHL's ElastoStart system, which reduces the shock caused by the compression of the engine during starting, taking it away from the user's joints and muscles. An ergonomic grip position and loop handle ensures you can enjoy excellent cutting comfort in any working position.

Robust, durable & easy to use

This model features electronic water control, which can be operated using simple buttons while the engine is running. The water then switches on and off automatically during cutting, depending on engine speed, offering optimum dust suppression at the touch of a button. The TS 480i also uses semi-automatic drive belt tensioning to increase the service life of the belts and shaft bearings, as well as a pre-separation air filtration system, where larger, heavier particles are ejected to prolong the filter life.
