STIHL's most advanced clearing saw ever.
The ideal choice for anyone with large areas of tough overgrown grass to maintain, the FS 460 C-EM is a revolutionary, high-specification tool that is brilliantly easy and comfortable to use, thanks to several important innovations.
Powerful, reduced-emission engine
The 2-stroke engine with stratified charge present in this machine reduces the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle. What this means is more power, less weight, less exhaust emissions and lower fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke engines. The large 0.75 litre fuel tank ensures you won't have to stop as often to refuel, but when you do, the easily accessible tank opening will be appreciated.
When used with a harness, the bike handle allows you to use a smooth mowing action and for the machine to be easily guided. This makes it ideal for use over large distances with less fatigue. A multi-function control handle places easy, comfortable, thumb-operated controls within reach, without you having to take your hand off the handle. The handle can be adjusted without the need for tools, up to 90 degrees, so it is perfect for transportation or storage. A 4-point anti-vibration system results in very low vibrations at the handle.
Cutting edge, easy to use design
With STIHL's innovative M-Tronic electronic engine management system, ignition timing and fuel metering are adjusted automatically in all operating modes. External temperature, altitude and fuel quality are taken into account, ensuring consistent performance, speed and acceleration. It also makes starting easier, with cold/warm start recognition and immediate acceleration up to speed, even when starting cold. As well as this, the ErgoStart system also cuts the effort necessary to start the tool by half, with the starter cord requiring just a third of the normal force.
