Supremely robust with impressive performance, this is an outstanding ride-on brushcutter.
Benefiting from powerful & efficient all wheel drive transmission, this model also boasts a Subaru-powered engine and an innovative shaft drive design.
Unique shaft drive system for fantastic performance & durability
Able to transfer nearly 100 percent of its 14HP straight to the CMX1402's cutting blades, this model enjoys a shaft drive system unique to this range of machinery. The blades give excellent cutting performance thanks to being formed of fine layers of steel created in a forge, and can even survive against granite rock.
The cutting system in general is extremely robust, with the spring-steel blade carrier and oil-filled, cast gearbox with spring-based pinion gear system ensuring you and your mower are well protected from the shocks and impacts of working on tough terrain. You are even able to chop through wooded material up to 3.6 cm thick.
Supreme slope handling with AWD transmission
With a powerful and efficient all wheel drive system, the CMX1402 is able to handle some of the toughest conditions and terrain out there, and you can even switch between 2WD and 4WD depending on the job at hand. A unique design with a right angle drive and planetary drive hubs on each end of the front axle give brilliant traction at the front wheels along with assisted steering when in 4WD mode. A cast iron front axle with a casing within a casing and splined shafts floating in an oil bath gives near indestructibility.
This range of machinery is able to handle slopes up to 25 degrees in complete safety, while a front nudge bar allows it to push the likes of small trees, gorse and scrub beneath it, with a fantastic cutting capacity resulting from the 23.6 cm throat that means large amounts of grass are able to pass through and into the cutting deck. The CMX1402 is powered by Robin's impressive and reliable Subaru-powered EX40DS, an air-cooled, single cylinder OHC 404cc engine.
Work for long periods easily & in comfort
The Samurai range boasts an impressive combination of both a mechanical 2 step gearbox (allowing high and low range gear selection) and a hydrostatic drive to the front, ensuring you can enjoy hydrostatic automatic drive with foot pedal operation, plus the strength and power of mechanical drive. For superb comfort whatever your body type or stature, the steering wheel and driver's seat can both be easily adjusted to suit you.
The CMX1402 is also simple to control, with an agile turning radius of just 1.8 metres, plus a compact design that allows it to access areas others can't. You can change the cutting height to suit your preference between 0 and 150 mm in 21 steps.
